PUNJAB AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY,  LUDHIANA ADVERTISEMENT NO.03/2010   Applications from the eligible candidates are invited for the following posts on the prescribed form (alongwith detailed qualifications, experience requirements & other relevant information) obtainable from the office of Registrar, Thapar Hall, PAU, Ludhiana from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on payment of Rs.300/- for posts at Sr.No.1 to 19 and Rs.200/- for post at Sr.No.20  either in cash at the counter or by sending Bank Draft in favour of the Comptroller, PAU, payable at Ludhiana along with self addressed envelope (28x12cms) bearing postage stamps of Rs.30/-. The duly completed application forms with prescribed fee of Rs.800/- (for posts at Sr.No.1 & 2), Rs.500/- (for posts at Sr.No.3 to 19) and Rs.300/- (for post at Sr.No.20) in the shape of Bank Draft/ Indian Postal Orders payable at Ludhiana in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana should reach in the office of Registrar, PAU, Ludhiana by 11.10.2010 (Monday). 19.  Assistant Librarian (Programming) Sr.No.3 to 19: Rs.15600-39100 + AGP Rs.6000/-  19. Assistant Librarian (Programming) i) Graduate with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer applications/ Computer Science & Engineering/ Library and Information Science at least with second division. ii) Master’s degree in Computer Applications/ M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering with minimum OCPA of 6.50/ 10.00 or 65% marks. iii) Matric level certificate of Punjabi language (if not, the candidate is required to pass the same within one year of appointment). iv) Must have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by ASRB/ UGC/ CSIR by the date of interview. Job responsibilities 1. Automation of in-house operations in the Library. 2. Maintenance of Computer Hardware &Software in the University Library. 3. Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time. Note: A candidate who may not possess Master’s degree in the relevant discipline but possesses Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post. Such a candidate must have obtained OCPA of 6.50/ 10.00 or 65% marks at Master’s level in the allied field.
