A Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library. ii. Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC. iii. However, candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph. D. degree in accordance with the “University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulations 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of University Assistant Director of Physical Education/ College Director of Physical Education & Sports.
Application Fees :
Candidates will be required to pay on amount of Rs. 1000/- (incase of SC/ST Rs. 500/-) by Demand Draft in favour of “Registrar, Gauhati University” payable at SBI, G.U. Branch as application fees for the post.

Completed applications in the prescribed form along with necessary enclosures must reach “The Registrar, Gauhati University, Guwahati-14” latest by 24-12-2010 . Those who are willing to apply for more than one post, they must submit separate application form with separate application fee. Attested copies of certificate and mark-sheets and other testimonials must be attached with each copy of application. No. of the advertisement and name of the post along with Department and the serial No.____and sub-serial No.________of post must be referred to in the application.
